“Why does my baby always want to bash my computer?”
Today we went to the doctor to check up on my chest infection which I thought was not necessary considering I was happy drinking amoxicillin three times a day. Although my nappies were less than happy to be threatened with bad aggressive wind and explosive poos.
As soon as we got in front of the doctor my mum forgot about my chest infection and asked “Why does my baby always want to bash my computer?”
This was a surprise I did not see this question coming, as I thought we were there for my chest infection.
At this question the doctor slowly removed his glasses and closed his eyes, taking a slow deep breath to relax. How many of these questions did he have that day? Considering my Mommy is quite an educated and down to earth person, I worry about the doctor’s precious time management.
Mommy can you hear me: Do you know how much this type of question costs the NHS?
The question was nothing. The doctor actually replied. “Well, you know babies are babies sometimes they do thing we can’t really explain. Maybe you should ask him why he does that!”
Yes this was a great answer. And Mommy if you were to ask me I would reply as such:
“Mommy whom I love with all my heart. It is completely unfair that a piece of plastic with a screen and keyboard turns you away from me even for few seconds. I want your full attention, every single second of the day.
Look at me when I cry at your feet while you are on the computer, these are real tears, and not crocodile tears. I feel torn inside. Give it to me and I will bash this keyboard out with your new iphone.”
Note to Mommy: No this computer for toddlers will not trick me either. I want your computer to bash.
ps:I love you mommy
