Baby Game: Shape sorting, throw the ball and other stuff

Today the weather was nice, Mommy let me played outside for the first time. This morning she put me on the grass and she threw the ball at me. I crawled towards it, picked it up and threw it back to her with both my hands. It was exciting, I loved this baby game.

Later in the afternoon I played another baby game: The shape sorter.

This game consists of putting colourful plastic shapes (triangle, square, circle and others) into holes of the same shape in a colourful plastic cylinder. 50% of the time I throw the shape in the air with frustation, 25% of the time Mommy helps me before I throw the shape away, the rest of the time I do it all on my own. Boy I am good!

But my favourite baby game these days is standing up without holding anything. I only manage a few seconds but this is the real thing!

Oh I forgot, I know how to clap my hands especially when Mommy sings “Wind the bobbin up, wind the bobbin up, pull, pull clap, clap, clap. Wind it back again, wind it back again, pull, pull, clap, clap, clap. Point to the ceiling, point to the floor, point to the window, point to the door, clap your hands together 1,2,3 put your hands on your knees.” So these days I clap away…

Nursery Rhyme: Humpty Dumpty!

I love also the nursery rhyme about humpty dumpty. Do you know it? These are the lyrics:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall

humpty dumpty had a great fall

all the king’s horses

and all the king’s men

couldn’t put humpty

together again”

Isn’t this nursery rhyme dark and dramatic. I love it! Do you also?

The seriousness of this nursery rhyme reminds me of the seriousness of watching my Mommy preparing my food when I am really hungry.

Today we were in a playgroup and my Mommy was singing to me “Humpty Dumpty” with other Moms. While Mommy was singing for my pleasure, I was trying to ride the bike and my good toddler friend “Phillipe” was crawling along, pushing a train with each hand. Just as Mommy reached the part where Humpty Dumpty fell off his wall, Phillip bumped into me, I fell on him, we both cried…As I said “Humpty Dumpty” is dramatic.

We love Humpty Dumpty!
